The 2024 Angler Recruitment, Retention and Reactivation (R3) Recommendations are now available for state agencies. The Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (AFWA) President’s Task Force on Angler R3 Report was approved by State Directors at the AFWA Business Meeting in late March.

This Fall, the RBFF leadership team has had several opportunities to interact and educate different stakeholder groups about its programs and initiatives at numerous networking events.
The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF) leadership has been on the road (and on the water!) showcasing Take Me Fishing’s Find Your Best Self on the Water campaign for influential audiences at several events nationwide while engaging with key players in supporting women in fishing and boating.
As part of RBFF’s consumer brand Take Me Fishing’s integrated partnership with Forbes to highlight the benefits of fishing and boating for women, RBFF’s team took part in the 2023 Forbes Power Women’s Summit on September 14 in New York City.
Since 2010, the Hispanic population in the United States has grown by 23%; during that same time, the number of Hispanic anglers has grown a whopping 42% according to the 2022 Special Report on Fishing. RBFF’s efforts to grow fishing among the Hispanic community with its Vamos A Pescar campaign, launched in 2014, have helped achieve these increases.
In July, RBFF and its Take Me Fishing™ brand took select female freelance journalists on a fishing and boating trip to Bozeman, Montana. FAM, short for “Familiarization,” is a unique and immersive experience that allows media representatives to intimately connect with an experience, thereby enabling them to create more informed, accurate, and engaging content.
RBFF recently attended ICAST, the world’s largest sportfishing show, where 13,000+ fishing manufacturers and retailers convene to display the latest innovations in gear, tackle, accessories.
