We live in an era of seemingly information overload, and it is delivered 24/7.
New crayons were one of my favorite back to school supplies. But, I’ll venture to say that even the mega pack of colored pencils doesn’t have the range of colors of fishing lures. This common child conversation starter is difficult for me to answer, perhaps because I fish.
As we prepare to leave a fishing legacy, we should focus on three things: knowledge, feelings of empowerment, and values of conservation. Here are three specific ways you can leave a fishing legacy with beginning anglers:

The numbers of women fishing have been steadily increasing over the past few years. Based on recent research, we now know that 34% of all fishing participants in the U.S. are female.
