28th Annual Family Fishing Day and Wyoming Summer Outdoor Slam!

Curt Gowdy State Park will come alive with a variety of outdoor activities for kids of all ages during the Summer Outdoor Slam, June 3 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission to Curt Gowdy and all the festivities is free and the public is welcome. A part of the Kids in Nature program and Wyoming’s Kids eXtreme initiative sponsored by Wyoming State Parks, Historic Sites & Trails, the Summer Outdoor Slam provides exposure to outdoor events that many kids may not get to experience very often. Included in the list of activities available during the Slam are fishing, canoeing, archery, biking, hiking, dirt pile play area, Arts and Fun, S’more making and lots more fun activities. Additionally, its “Wyoming Free Fishing Day” all-day, and a ceremony to celebrate “National Trails Day” and “Great Outdoors Month” will be held at noon.
