When people find out what I do for a living (I’m a fishing writer), I often hear things like: “Oh, that sounds fun… I’ve always wanted to take up fishing, but I don’t know where to go.

On Monday, we welcomed the first day of spring with open arms and, though official dates vary slightly from state to state, that means fishing season is almost here! Whether you’re an avid angler anxiously anticipating the moment you can cast your first line, or a novice looking to create new memories with your family, we know that YOU are ready and rearing to get out on the water. But is your equipment?
We’re about to launch into peak boating season and if you haven’t bought your boat yet, now is the time! Once you do (or if you’re renting a boat this season), you’ll want to keep in mind some responsible boating best practices so you and your friends and family stay safe on the water.
So here we are, a mere 11 days away from the official first day of spring. With weather patterns acting funky all over the country, I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s starting to feel the pangs of cabin fever.
