WHAT IS A FIRST CATCH CENTER?
The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF) in partnership with U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Refuges and hatcheries, Fishing’s Future and Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission are bringing new fishing and boating educational programs to you and your family that will provide positive and fun experiences to youth in the metropolitan areas.
These events will create a place for your family to learn and develop fishing and boating skills. The Take Me Fishing™ First Catch Centers (FCC) will provide hands-on opportunities so your kids can learn basic fishing and boating skills along with conservation ethics.
The FCCs will start as pilot programs with Fishing’s Future (FF) in Texas and the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission (PFBC) in the greater Philadelphia area, with expansion in future years across the country. For more information about the Take Me Fishing™ First Catch Centers initiative, please contact Rachel Piacenza, firstname.lastname@example.org; 703-519-9542.
