Urban Trout Stocking

Blue Pit
S Pierce Avenue
Mason City

11:00 AM

Watch DNR fisheries staff stock the fish and try to catch your own trout. The urban lakes trout program offers a “close to home” option for anglers across the state to experience trout fishing. These cool weather stockings provide easy-access trout fishing opportunities in areas that cannot support trout during the summer months. They are a great place to take kids to catch their first fish. Anglers need a valid fishing license (age 16 and older) and pay the trout fee to fish for or possess trout.
