Are you eager to try fishing for smallmouth bass on the Delaware River from Bull’s Island State Park or are you interested in heading over to the Spruce Run Reservoir to catch a striped bass? Either way, you will need to have a valid New Jersey fishing license and knowledge of state fishing regulations before you make the trip.
Once you have your valid NJ fishing license, you will need to read and understand the state fishing regulations. Be sure you can properly identify all of the New Jersey fish species, then follow all of the fishing rules that apply.
Your fishing license purchase helps to protect and preserve the sport of fishing for years to come. The fees collected from New Jersey fishing licenses go toward fishery management, habitat development, endangered species programs, and conservation education.
New Jersey has its own set of fishing laws and regulations that need to be followed in order to protect their fish populations
