Hey fishing fans, it's Debbie Hanson for takemefishing.org, and today we're going to learn how to tie the second knot in our series on fly fishing knots -- that's the perfection loop knot. The perfection loop knot is the knot that you're going to use to attach your leader to your fly line.
So, this is going to be your line to leader connection. It's very easy, just a few simple steps.
Here's all you need to do:
1. You're going to take your leader line (the orange line is going to represent your leader), and you're going to create a loop. Just pinch the loop between your two fingers.
2. Take your line and wrap it around and in front of your first loop.
3. From there, you're going to take your tag end and run it right in between those two "mouse ears" or loops.
4. Pull the back loop through the front, and then you're going to tighten down the knot by pulling on the back loop and your tag end until it's nice and snug. Then, all you need to do is snip off your tag end, and you're good.
